Are you after a night out with your friends? Perhaps, looking for an excuse to get all dressed up with a mask? If so, allow me to tell you about last night's event...
My friends and I attended the ‘Voice for the Voice-less’ Ball, a masquerade ball held in Petersham town hall in the city of Sydney. Just hearing the words “Every 30 seconds, someone becomes a victim of modern-day slavery” was enough to know it’s going to be an eye-opening event, once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I was truly inspired and moved by what I heard.
The ticket
to the ball ranging in price from $79 Australian dollars for a ticket including
live entertainment, dining and drinks throughout the night gets you into the
hall at 6:30 PM. It’s especially unique because from 9:00 PM until 10:30 PM,
the costumed ball attendees, sponsors are mixing with the visitors, making for
quite a scene dancing the night away!
What a night, filled with a musical dance performance, a three course dinner and complimentary drinks throughout the night. As they showcased a motivational live presentations, a raffle draw and plenty of fun to foster awareness of human trafficking and the A21 Campaign. Wow, you and I can make a difference. Imagine a world without slavery, can you imagine?
